L'entreprise

U 970-PARCC

Decoding Chromatin Landscape to elucidate heart regeneration

We offer a highly supportive and collaborative research environment where ideas are openly discussed and interdisciplinary interactions are encouraged. The PARCC center provides access to state-of-the-art core facilities, including advanced imaging platforms (confocal, two-photon, and epifluorescence microscopy), histology and tissue analysis platforms, and flow cytometry facilities. The laboratory benefits from strong expertise in animal models, with access to facilities enabling the development of genetically engineered models, including CRISPR-based genome editing and transgenesis.

Main mission:

The successful candidate will contribute to projects investigating how endothelial and vascular cells coordinate responses to cardiac injury and drive regenerative processes. The work integrates experimental and computational approaches, including in vivo models (mouse and zebrafish), in vitro cardiac systems, with the opportunity to further develop the heart-on-chip platform, and functional assays. The position also involves bioinformatics analyses of multi-omics datasets, including single-nucleus RNA sequencing (snRNA-seq) and ATAC-seq, to characterize gene regulatory networks underlying cardiovascular repair. The postdoctoral researcher will have the opportunity to design and lead projects, actively contribute to methodological discussions, and develop innovative approaches to address fundamental questions in cardiovascular biology.

Activities main :

•    Establish and perform models of myocardial injury in adult mice and apical resection in zebrafish to study cardiac regeneration and repair mechanisms.
•    Conduct functional assessment of cardiac injury and regeneration using echocardiography, histology, and imaging approaches
•     Perform molecular and cellular biology experiments, including cloning, gene expression analysis, and cellular characterization related to heart injury and regeneration.
•    Carry out bioinformatics analyses and interpretation of multi-omics datasets using Python-based computational approaches.
•    Analyze and integrate experimental and omics data to identify molecular pathways involved in cardiac injury response and tissue regeneration.
•    Participate in experimental design, data interpretation, manuscript preparation, and presentation of scientific results.

Job specification(s) and environment :

•    PARCC, a leading cardiovascular research center, where mouse models of myocardial injury, functional analyses, histology, and molecular and cellular biology experiments will be performed.
•    Institut Imagine, which hosts advanced facilities dedicated to zebrafish models and imaging technologies, where apical resection experiments and cardiac regeneration studies in zebrafish will be carried out.
•    The candidate will work in a multidisciplinary environment combining cardiovascular biology, animal models, omics technologies, and bioinformatics approaches, with access to state-of-the-art technological platforms and national and international collaborations.
